I ran a 29:00 8K (5:50 pace) and a 5:10 in the mile in 8th grade. I had a mediocre freshman XC season but sophomore and junior year I ran super slow times and was almost constantly injured on and off. Next fall will be my last season of XC in high school. How can I get back to the athlete I was in middle school?
Also, I'm a forefoot striker and have a relatively good cadence. When I got a gait analysis, my feet seemed to point inward as they came up off the ground. Is there any way I can increase my cadence and get my legs more efficient in getting on and off the ground?
