I'm a 14 year old 8 grade runner. I run the 400, 800, and 1600 for track and i ran middle school cross country (2.1 miles). Last year I finished with a 54.7, 2:07, and 4:56 times for track. This year I finished cross country with an 11:22 2.1 on a challenging course. The calender year I have 2 "big meets." The first one is a track regional final which is in mid may and the 2 one is the freshman northeast boys cross country race at Vancourtland which is held in late November. My question is how should I train to be ready for these 2 meets but also preserve my self for my later hs and maybe college years of running.
I don't know what's more unbelievable for an eigth grader, your times or your writing. I call BS on both.
Whether what you say is true or not, I would suggest that you follow the advice above, don't over do speed work, and have patience.
