I don't take orders from liberals.
I think you meant to post this in the "When uttered, what phrases/words are a dead give-away that you're talking to a conservative?" thread.

American Fox Hound, July Dog (yes a real breed...Google it) Running Walkers... any dog bred to chase deer/fox/coyote will crush any of the other dogs mentioned...especially the pointers and bird dogs...When we move up to the 10k and beyond, these dogs margins will only grow... Running Walkers will chase a deer 25 miles sometimes.
Look, it's impossible to ignore something the OP references in the thread title. Blame him.
I once did a 5 miler at 6:40 mm pace with an ex-girlfriend's English Golden Retriever. She stayed with me the entire time and didn't want to stop at the end. It was also her first run.
Saluki. Youtube videos of hunts ij the desert.

Probably a pointer. Then shorthair. Then Vizsla. Weims these days are too big and slow.
Field trial champions are all pointers these days, that's probably where you'll see the top athletes. Shorthairs seem more tenacious to me though, so maybe they'd out kick their English counterparts.

Your X girlfrienb stayed wit you yoor first run?
Did a 14 miler at about 7 minute pace with my parents' dog. Half "mcnabb" and half Australian cattle dog. I think individuals from both of those breeds would be in the running for fastest 5k dog.

Cripes, my dead grandma could stay with you, if you move at 6:40 per millimeter.
Did you read the question? 5k.I just googled your so called dog breeds, and could only come up with posts from illiterate rednecks talking about their coon dogs. These hillbillies don't know sh1t and it is obvious.Did you post this?"my pappaw ran fox hounds and he always called them running walkers and i was just wondering if there was a difference , between the two .. i did not know if a blanket back dog might be a treeing walker cause bout all of the expencive ones are blanket backed !! sorry searched the forms and could not find any info thanks"

Saluki #1, & whippet both faster than greyhounds over distance.

You've never seen a big running pointer if you think a treeing breed will keep up with it over open ground. Shorthairs and pointers don't calm down until they've been running an hour.
Saluki for the win. They run down gazelles.
