I just had a kid run Nike- he had a great race but he said the time change was a little tough to overcome.
Add to that the weather in Southern Cal and it makes it tough for the Northeast kids.

The Midwest kids have similar or tougher weather conditions leading up to the race than the NE, and typically don't have trouble with the SoCal weather (exemplified by their sheer number of champions, especially on the boys dude).

Was the NE regional different this year than in the past? If not, history would indicate they aren't likely to be in the top-10.
How can anybody struggle running in upper 50 or low 60 degree temps with clear skies?
Tooker was a ways back from Veatch at NXN in conditions NY kids ought to excel in. Tooker beat Affolder recently.

Texas is looking real weak this year, on the individual side (for boys).
It's a shame that Carter Blunt got injured after winning his state meet classification race. He was looking pretty solid and dominant in Texas this year. Would have loved to have seen him at least run at FLNationals (although Hunter is looking like a very scary favorite). The one time he raced Reed Connor (SLC), he easily beat him by 20 seconds...

Lundy has only broken 190 once, lol. Not to mention his stellar 178 on his home course at manhattan.

Rocha isn't soft he will get 2nd behind Hunter dude is a beast anybody know what College he is going to? thanks I was hoping Rocha would pick Oregon but I doubt the Ducks have any room after signing Hunter,Tamagno,Thomet wow what a class for Oregon. Add those 3 with King Ches,Maton,Anderson and Neuman and Oregon is almost a lock for NCAA Cross next year. Cuse should give Oregon a battle but honestly it might not even be close next year. GO DUCKS

easy to talk a lot of smack behind a computer screen. Guaranteed you wouldn't be saying any of this in person "ham and cheese". Any one who knows Lundy or has seen him race knows what he is capable of. He's just rounding into form.. I think he'll do very well.
