I ran division two in college. Best mile time was 4:28. Took a couple years off but I've gotten back to running. I ran the marathon a few weeks ago in 3:35:00 on minimal training (around 50-60 miles a week). I'm currently training every day doing mainly easy runs and tempo runs with lots of strides (60-70 miles a week planning on going up to around 80-90) Pace for my easy runs usually ends up around 6:50 or so. My original plan was to train into the spring to try and lower my mile time.
I also go out pretty much every weekend and Consider myself an average to above average drinker. If I had to quantify it i would say I can probably drink 10-12 beers over the course of the night before things really get out of hand.
What do you guys think? How fast can I go? I wanna try and set a goal
