If we were to take the top 3 individuals from every state in america in each event from the 800m to the 10k which state would come out victorious in that track meet? I'm talking born in the state, not where they went to college or train etc.
Which state has the most depth or most national caliber talent up front?
I feel like everyone's instinctive response would be Oregon but honestly I'm too lazy to do the research myself.

Minnesota wins the 800. Nobody gives the northern state love in middle distance when all the southern states get the benefit of training year round. It's the reason why midwest runners excel in college. I do agree though that California wins if it is taken all the way up to 10k.

800- California had first to 3. Ohio had first to 2. New York was second to have 3.
1500- Ohio was first to have 3 runners. Minnesota first to have 2. I also wouldn't rule out Maryland from competing.
3000- Minnesota looks to be tough competition.
