Who Was the Biggest Disappointment at NCAAs?

Tommy Curtain didn't seem to have it today. Was expecting a higher finish from him, or at least a balls out race like Tiernan.

Well, my biggest disappointment is too obvious and too nice to mention.

They finished out of the top 100 when they were expected in the podium.

The winner of the contest would have considered them too risky for a pick with the injury factor.

1. No 2nd low-stick for Colorado

2. Cuffe in 117th

3. Williamsz in 214th

4. Joe Rosa in 97th

5. Mason Ferlic 67th, was a top-ten contender

My biggest disappointment was that punk King Ches not losing. I always hope for it, but it almost never happens. Hope he goes pro.

Women:

Iowa State (24th) --- Yikes, Texas --- Get out of here.

Aisling Cuffe (117th), Dana Giordano (66th), Ryen Frazier (108th),

Men:

Not overly surprised but: Oklahoma State (18th) --- Overrated. Cerake is a talent but a headcase.

Michigan --- Much hype. Feel for them a bit given the season they had. Ferlic and Pappas ran terrible.

BYU, Virginia, Texas --- simply not good enough for this meet, Ole Miss --- Was this the most over ranked and over hyped team in xc history?

John Mascari (69th) --- Could never really get it going this year. Injury?

Joe Rosa has to be disappointed with 97th, but highly doubt they could have nipped Colorado even if he ran well.

Big Ten Champ Matt McClintock (133rd)

Anthony Rotich had a disappointing race, IMO.

Michigan really set themselves up to fail by dressing like goons last night.

Meron Simon. Lost 105 spots in the last 2K. Went from 25th to 130th.

Johns Hopkins women finishing 4th and North Central men finishing 5th are definitely the biggest disappointments from the D3 race.

From preseason darkhorse choice by FloTrack and being viewed by many as a top 5 team, to second-to-last at the National meet, only narrowly outperforming a dismal UT men's squad.

Disappointing to say the least.

NCState guys would probably be the first to agree that they stunk it up out there a bit today.

Adams State 2nd to Colorado School of Mines, did anyone see that coming?

Disappointing day for Maggie Montoya - 86th. Earlier performances this season promised better things.

I expected Allie O to win. Maybe the banquet food was a problem. She still had an amazing Freshman season.

Ammar mousa of CU went from a top 10 finish to 42nd. I believe he was also the fifth guy on CU's first title team 2 years ago. That kind of of came full circle. Terribly ironic.

4th is not true "podium," except in "everyone's a winner" land where we make the podium a mile wide.
