Looks like he was 13th in the class A section of the New York state meet as a high school senior with a reasonably quick time of 16:03. I was actually at that race, the course is pretty fair except for a massive hill in the first 400m. You can find some results of his on tullyrunners.com

Wetmore could never develop a talent like that.
1:56/4:17 in High school apparently: http://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/Athlete.aspx?AID=1697671
Germano was the main reason they won the last 2k. Great run. He picked up 10 points and I think that was enough to do it.
"The Dough" can go.
I just learned he's the brother of Sara Germano of the Wall Street Journal.
I expect an article on him. The Joufnzl letx Matthew Fetterman write all the time about his own personal running "exploits". How about a profile on the 4th place guy on an NCAA team? Could be a cool article if done right. Or what it's like to have a brother who is the 4th place guy on a national championship team.

Wetmore has done just fine with Pierce Murphy - I saw him run 9:00 for 3K in highschool and I am not sure he ever broke 2 in highschool for the 800m.

um ok
When you train with the best you become one of them..congrats and with Phil now showing his elite skill replacing their senior next year makes the blow less and Phil will be top 15 next year to go with Bennie and knight being top 5..3 Sophmores in top 50..I smell a dynasty..
I just turned blue while attempting to read your entire run on sentence (paragraph).
Ah, a title in all caps. Always draws me in.
10/10
I hope someone got an interview with this kid
I guess if 3 sentences in one paragraph turns your face blue I can\'t help that. Didn\'t realize we had grammar police on these forums. I could of added an extra period instead of the word (and), but who cares? Either way Phil ran his butt off and(oops,don\'t want your face turning blue again). Syracuse and Phil deserve what they got. Hard work truely pays off.
You could have not could of
Philo Germano sounds like a name you give when someone asks your name, but you don't want to give the real one and that's the best you could do thinking off the top of your head.
Legendary lead singer of Pantera!
Germano = Anselmo all the same! \m/
