1692 thus far, I'm wrestling with going this morning for 8 easy for a nice round 1700.

2548 with (most likely) a 7 miler for today. Sadly, this is the biggest year of my running life.
8
An acceptable 3160
1977. I was going for 2000 but injuries have slowed me down. Excuses I know. Will do about 10 tonight at a race, so I am looking at 1987, for the year. My most for many years. Next year...2500!
1127 miles running, 5092 miles cycling.
4245
Did an easy 6 this morning for an even 2000. Goal was 2300 but was injured for a bit.
2500
I posted this on the other thread (total miles in a year ever), but it's more appropriate here...
By Friday, I'll have just under 2300 miles for the year. Considering injuries and all, I'm fairly pleased. That's up from about 1750 the year before. PRs for the year: 10K 35:08; 5K 16:45. Nothing to write home about, but a start.
8 miles, Injured and retired
Miles are over rated! How many of you wanted to run 100 miles in a week and when you added up your shit and were at 98 so went out for another TWO miles like it was going to do you any good?
mileage from jan 1 to dec 31 doesnt tell the story all that well. i am starting to calculate miles from Aug 1 to july 31 of the next year. miles=1760 for that last interval. i am at 911 since aug 1, 2004 thru dec 31
actually, i ran 100.5 last week...kinda bummed though 'cause on my 7th day i thought i needed 14 miles to get my hundred and my gps reading said i ran 13.99. i started my watch and ran until it changed over to 14 flat! came home to add it to my mileage and that's when i discovered that i only needed 13.5. oh well!
Your a dork...
I am at 3132 for the year on 300 runs even.
Peace
Ghost Racer
yes...i know. :(
To Dojop: If miles are over-rated, run 50 miles a week and lots of intervals for the next year........see how you fare against guys putting in 100+ week after week.
Sure, miles are over-rated if you are NOT interested in improving and building a solid foundation so you can train at a consistantly high level. If you want to be mediocre.....miles are over-rated yes.
Well done Dojop, happy 33 minute 10k's and many returns of the day!
Hi WilkJust had a peek and looks like the total for 2004 with today's 8 miler is going to be 2562 miles which is close to what I end up logging most years anyway. Mild spell going on here in upstate New York which I have to take advantage of as that can change in a heart-beat. Wishing you and fellow Lets Runners a Happy and Blessed and speedy2005...............Yeah!
