adidas track spikes

Adidas needs to get with it and make a descent distance spike. I don't know what is up with making such a stiff spike plate.

they are like futbol cleats. they did have a good run back in the mid/late 80's with the "LA adistar" series- remember? neon yellow and then the all black mid distance ones? had some white steeple from the same era. great spikes.

adidas would get someone as good as Nike has in their spike department. If that happened adidas would have the most complete shoe line. Adidas even has great racing flats.

Nike = sub par trainers but great spikes

Adidas = Great trainers but sub par spikes

I just wish they'd make a lightweight spike. Shit, they have been so behind with making good quality spikes. It's hilarious that no one at adidas looks at those spikes and says, "Guy's our spikes suck. Let's make some good ones, ok?"

Adiastar Steeple, the pink ones from a few years ago

I actually liked the older steeple ones. Still have them from 95? and they work well.

Realize this: adidas can't make a good spike and Nike will always rule. The new rebok's are even better than anything adidas has made.

If you want a more flexible spike plate, you may want to try out the Titan (Distance), Cosmos (MD) or Meteor (Sprint)...They should be at your local running specialty stores who partake in T&F sometime in January...About $55...

I have the adistar 03 steeple and i like them a lot. They work well for me in the 10k.
