Just curious. How much time off does your college coach give your team after the xc season is over? A few days or a week or how long?

the rest of the year. actually, just quit running while you're ahead
Two weeks. We do light running here and there and some cross training. Nobody is sedentary for 2 straight weeks but it's nice to have some time for your own schedule.
About a week. I hated indoor season. The smell of indoor tracks. Bleh.
2 weeks! Although we still are lifting twice a week and have 3-4 30 minute runs both weeks.
Totally agree about the horrible smell of indoor tracks. But the racing is exciting.
Yes!! The only reason indoor track is exciting is because track season finally approaches!!
At least a week. Depends on what season you want to emphasize. When I ran in college, some of the guys were back to crushing tempo runs by early December, and ran really well for indoor. Come outdoor, it's hard tough to carry on until June....other guys (including myself) would take 2 weeks off, even 3 in some cases with light cross training/lifting mixed in. Our indoor seasons were never as strong, but I always found it far more sustainable for running PRs come April/May--the races that mattered in my mind.
anywhere from 12 hours to 2 days
