Going to buy some arm warmers to match my fuel belt.
I have the best songs on my ipod for this weekends 5k race.
What charity does that race support?

I say that all the time and I ran D1 and multiple 2:30 marathons. Being a runner doesn't give you the right to be a disgusting exhibitionist (not that you are, but you get the point).
I also don't know my true 5k PR. I know it was around a certain time, but I can't pinpoint what it was, exactly. I ran a lot of 5ks my senior year of college and none are online. This would have been around the 2000-2001 time. Kind of embarrassing, but I focused more on racing and I just don't know...

this is a light-hearted, fun thread. No need to get defensive and debate each post.
I just want to improve

So why are you debating that post? You go away!

Just to be perfectly explicit: "Wearing split shorts is like being a disgusting exhibitionist."
Wow. It's bad enough that I have to put up with a "fag" screams from the white trash in pickups/Neons, but wouldn't expect similar sentiments from an experienced and talented runner.
How far is the marathon you're running next week?

Why would you put quotes around something that I did not say? Did you miss the part where I added "(not that you are...)"? Why would you think that I would call you something so terrible? I just said that I often wonder if my shorts are too short, mainly because I see quite a few men in my city whose shorts are borderline offensive to the eyes.
You guys probably just look better than me. Be happy about that!
"I run 5 miles a day."
Number is variable, but usually at least 5. Coming from a person who one is 99% sure is not a dedicated runner.
Be interesting to know the actual average weekly mileage of the average "runner" who claims to run a certain number of miles per day. For the 5 mile type, I'll guess.....13. And for a short period of their life.
Yes, I guess this could sound like DB snobbery. But then again, disliking dishonesty and exaggeration is nothing to feel bad about.
