Sevatonic is a self obsessed fool from Indonesia, who was at one time hounded off of the Marius Bakken site by some of the wiser posters. This was only when he started to tell the odd lie about his PRs over 3k and 3k chase. These guys quickly started to look him up and the more he tried to bluff his way out of it, the worse he looked. Sad really.
Anyway "Sevatonic Is Here", i am not american, but i would like to stand up for them against your remarks on their lack of medals at the Olympics in the MD & LD events. True, they did not medal, but they are getting closer all of the time to producing somebody who is capable. Indonesia....hmmm, hang on a minute, did they have anybody running the MD & LD events in Athens?
The 2 Marathon medals will make up for any shortfall on the track for now, so watch out and see if it has a knock on effect in the future.
As for the Japanese, they are good yes, but these kids are part of a state run system that pushes them towards racing long track distances very young, hence they are better at them from an early age. If the USA did this, then they would have lots of 5k and 10k studs like the Japanese...but would be left a little lacking from 800 - 3k chase.
The Japanese pack well in xc races, but that is it. They have no superstars, their team is good, but will not win anything in mens xc or track, so why are you being so stupid about it. The juniors that you mention were all packed in amongst the likes of Deak, Forrest, Joshua and John who all scored for the USA. The Japanese team were 5th and the USA 7th in Dublin, so not a massive difference there, considering the USA guys all run for different teams and never get to train as a unit....unlike the Japanese, who live together 24/7.
Also, in the Senior race in Dublin, did you notice that the Japanese team was only 15th compared the GBR 10th and USA 11th?? Big points differences too. This is where it matters, at senior level, not the U20 race.
Sevatonic, please stop being an arsehole!
