My tempo times over the last 3 weeks have been slowing down each week.
2 weeks ago, 4 mile tempo in 24:08
1 weeks ago, 4 mile tempo in 24:26
This week, 3.5 mile tempo ( my knees been bothering me so my coach told me to shorten it down a bit) in 21:31
Is this something I should be worrying about, am I going to get slower as a result of this? What are some reasons this could be happening?
I PRd my last race , which was two weeks ago in 16:52 and my conference meet is this Saturday, where I hope to try and get low 17s and I just want to be a 100% ready by then.
While, yes in my tempo this week I wasn't feeling the best and I was cramping up and my legs felt super heavy, its the fact that I'm progressively slowing down that has me worried.
