What am I missing? She's talking like she went out at 5-min pace for the first two miles and then fell way off it. But wasn't her final time (31:21) only 6 seconds off that pace?
5 min pace works out to 31:04, so she lost 17 seconds over 4 miles or ~4 seconds/mile. In other news, that interview is borderline unwatchable due to the background noise.

Yes, apologies for that. Unfortunately, the media tent happened to be right near some very loud speakers which made it hard to hear the athletes.
I watched her win the 10 mile.
She just blasted them all without a second thought.
Great work. The way an athlete gets better. Not letting her competitors slow her down or set the bar.
All these impressive wins...
and she still cant go back in time and run through the line.
That's all I can think. She seems like she is trying to completely remove any memory of that race from her and everyone else's mind. If she hadn't been nipped by Infeld (who, don't get me wrong, is a great runner what with her amazing comeback) I can't imagine what this site would be saying about her. Even with the 4th at World's, is Huddle the U.S. Female GOAT?

Not even close.

No.
She is currently the best US runner in every distance greater than 5km, Except of course in the marathon but that's only because she hasn't run one yet. She is close to being GOAT. All she needs to do is medal at Rio where i think she will have a good chance if she can stay injury free.

No.
She is the GOAT 5k runner for US women. She has the AR and no American woman in history could win a medal against the Africans of today in the 5k.
Shalane has her beat in track 10k credentials. Molly is the GOAT 5k-half marathon road racer probably, because she does the most. Her half marathon win early in the year at NY was really impressive.
I'd say the only way she becomes the GOAT is if she breaks the AR in the Marathon. Even then she may need to get a medal in Rio. Though I'm a huge fan, I think it is unlikely she will match Deena's marathon career.
