Maton is my pick to be the #1 Freshman at NCAA XC this year, even if Fisher runs.

Unless Fisher shows in practice he's having problems handling higher mileage necessary for 10k racing -- having maxed at approx. 55 in hs -- we'll see them both then.

How soft is the course at Lehigh? Has it been a downpour all day?
I didn't get there until the high school races, but it was a mess. The varsity races were sloppy, but kids still pulled out some fast times. The JV races were laughable. Total slop.
Raced today, there was a steady rain almost all day and a lot of wind. Got colder it seemed as they day went on into the high 40s or low 50s. Course got much muddier as the day went on. It looked like the high school races were miserable, Tiernan looked so relaxed at the finish as well, watch out for big things from him. You are right about Nova's 5th man, he was well buried in that race today. Not a particularly deep field either, we will have to see how far back he will be later in the season.

Of note: Oregon won both Men's and Women's.
On the Men's side: Stanford didn't run all their top folks. Oregon didn't run a couple either.
Seems like with everyone running Stanford would have been on top.

Maybe so, but it looks like didn't run their expected top 3 in this meet (Martinez, Krebs, Enriquez). Lost a lot from last year, so likely a rebuilding year for Conner. 16-second spread yesterday is something nice to build on, though.
