I consider myself an 800m runner and managed a best of 1:51 this year.
However, I am not very fast over 400m. My best 400m effort was 51 seconds.
Somewhat strangely, my best effort for 1500m was 3:55 but I have only raced that twice this season.
I have an all time highest mileage of 60km a week in the winter (only maintained for a month) and when I ran my 1:51 (June) I was on around 20km a week only (maybe less).
Question is, should I try to run more mileage and move up in distance, or do more speed work and stick with the 800m?
