63-68. Was that stanfords A team or the jv squad?
1-8-14-17-23(38)(67)
2-10-13-19-24(29)(40)
Pretty close matchup between d1 powerhouse and d2 powerhouse with chico a close 2nd. However Chico was deeper through 7.
Maybe some of these baby national teams might place higher than expected at d1 nats.
D2 Chico almost EMBARRASSES D1 Stanford

If you go look at the results and then look at Stanford's roster you will see they held out several of their best runners. So yes, they ran the "B" team today.
-
That's cute

Dude how do you justify calling Chico a d2 powerhouse? Some great individuals over the last 10 years? Yes definitely. Powerhouse? Not without the titles to back it.

Franklin Pierce is f'ing GODLIKE!!!!
I'm telling you - that team can beat any d1 team in the country once they taper their mileage. Just wait until late October!!! You heard it here first!!!!
Oh wow!!!! Thank you, I needed a good laugh.
This sounds exactly like a super amped Chico guy that just has ZERO idea what D1 is like at the top of the Division. -
Looooong way to November, boys. Settle down.

Ummmmm.... Ever here of Scott Bauhs???? He used to be faster than Rupp when they were in college at the time.

Please do your homework. No NCAA titles but quite a record over the past 10-15 years. Especially for a team with 1 full ride. -

And how'd that work out? -
I'm telling you man - Franklin Pierce is going to be a huge surprise. They may not beat the oRegons and Colorados and Oklahoma State but they will be really good. Probably take the NCAA D2 title easily. Adams State and Grand Valley got nothing on Franklin Pierce this year
-
Interesting. It looks like this thread got someone's attention. When the results were first posted online all of the colleges were scored together. Now the results show d1 and non d1 scoring.

Didn't he just explain how it worked out? He was faster than Rupp when they were in college. -
So what? Cal State Eugene is far better a T&F team than effin Chico St.

And the 7-8 years since? That's the real question.
Chico is the west coast D2 powerhouse. Alaska Anchorage Western Washington have had some big teams in the last 10 years, but I think Chico has been a bigger player overall. I ran against Bauhs back then. He was the epitome of the talent development going on at Chico. -

I may need a pool boy in about 10 years. It would be nice to be able to talk xc while I sip on a martini as he works away. -

-said by the Stanford JV guy who couldn't make either top 7 or school without grandpas money.
-better hope your wife doesn't strike up a friendship with Chico pool boy -

No he wasn't haha what are you talking about? Rupp had the American collegiate record in the 10k in 2007 as a sophomore...how could another American collegiate be faster than him at the time? That makes no sense. Rupp made worlds 3 of the years he was in college. Bauhs didn't make worlds until 2011 and only did so once. -

Rupp and Bauhs were born days apart. Look up their 2006 times. Also Bauhs is the youngest American to go sub 4 mile and sub 28 10k. -

Wow, your from Stanford and you had to steal Northwestern's chant. -
"I was so mad I almost said something to the guy" means "I didn't say anything to the guy"
Thus, your post is about nothing.
