she's not very smart, as she records TONS of her workouts and races on there, and it looks like her best pace is 4:33 / km, in a 5k. Most of her paces are 5:00 / km + (over 8 min/mi i believe)

so she was able to bust out a 7k+ section of a half marathon at 4:02 / km (6:30 / mi) but never run that fast in ANY other distances?

and she took her number and shirt of in several photos and dodged photographers, Hmmmmm?

coming off the bridge. Her top shirt and bib are still on. The photo is time stamped 10:27:34 so it took her 27:37 to get from 5K to this point (5:04 pace)

She is NOT seen anywhere at 13.5K

She is next seen at 17.75K

wearing her top shirt but carrying her bib in her hand. This photo is time stamped 10:56:46. So Josie apparently she covered the 7.3K from the bridge to here in 29:12 (4:02/km pace!)

How do you know how accurate the timestamps on photos are? This does look suspicious but I'd assume a timestamp on a photo isn't synced with the race clock.

There appear to be a bunch of wild negative splits for the 1:40-1:50 crew that don't make sense and seem to be out of all their respective wheelhouses - quick glance revealed:

Let's not disregard a gun time/chip time reporting/posting malfunction or discrepancy at the moment...apparent personal feelings aside.

Thanks for the feedback. I performed the same analysis on the winner of the race Dancan Kasia to verify the accuracy of the photo points and time stamps.

From the official race timing he hit 5K at 9:46:05 (3:12/km pace)

He finished the race at 10:38:56 (3:16/km pace from 5k to finish)

From the photos he hit 10.45K at 10:03:41

From 5k to 10.45 K it took 17:38 (3:14/km pace)

He hit 17.75K at 10:27:10

From 10.45k to 17.75 K it took 23:29 (3:13/km pace)

That leaves 11:46 for the final 3.35K or 3:31/km pace

So it appears the camera clocks and photo locations are pretty accurate, if anything the section in question (10.45-17.75K) is a bit fast but only by a few seconds.

Definite cheater as there are no photos of her around Rideau Hall but I was able to get her splits using photos from the bridge and on Colonol By Drive.

wtf?! What's the story that you're not telling us? Who decides to look up someone's girlfriend's race results, then compare to her previous results, then dive into her splits and race photos in search of a story? This is just bizarre. Maybe she cut the course. If she did, Boo on her. But your entire fishing expedition is just bizarre.

Went through the list looking for those who had photos at the 10.45K and 17.75K mark. Some runners just natural negatively split big. For example:

The guy is a 2:17-2:19 marathoner. He's a long way from being a top Canadian marathoner. He's a nobody. Stop hyping him.

Obviously, the female felt a lot of pressure to go from jogger to a nobody marathoner as well. And being physically untalented and unable to make it out of the jogger category, she did what was necessary to make it to the marathon nobody level.

The problem is their shared fantasy, that he's a great runner and knows something about coaching marathoners.
