Bekele ran that race after running the Olympic 10000m and qualifying for the 5000. It wasn't a tactical error. It was balls.

And mo isn't? Oh I forgot he runs for a first world country so that automatically excuses him from PEDS. Mo is no more cleaner than previous runners. He just has better pharmacists. I like to know what else are they cooking up in that Nike lab.

Are you daft? Bekele was at 8:00 @ 3k 40 seconds faster than the 3k high school race no was in.

He then proceeded to bang out 4:56 last 2k, with a 53 last lap dropping Eluid Kipchoge

Hands down the best 5k performance ever.

He did lose to El G in 04 as what a 22 years old?

He learned from his mistakes in 03, 04 and 07 he didn't let it happen again.

I will give credit to mo 's 10k win as it was a good time, but these 5ks have been the slowest winning times in history at the championship level, all of them.

Every one of Bekeles wins was low 13 (sub13) or low 27:00

Remember when he ran the last 5k of the 10k sub 13?
