Agreed, the first heat is much deeper than the 2nd. Andrews has the easiest route to the final of the 3 Americans now.

Robby to make the final? Not sure. Key moment in his career, if he makes the final he's nicely set up for this 3 year championship cycle, no matter what happens in the final.
Both heats have three guys who have run sub-3:30. Both heats are going to be tough. I hope the final isn't more tactical crap and a win in, say, 3:36. That would be rather disappointing. I was hoping for better in the women's race, too, but it came down to a kick and a "slow" 4:08 win. Thanks for posting the lists.

Asbel's not going to push the pace in heat 1. He needs a slow heat 1 to get his two teammates in heat 2 into the final so they block the field. And nobody is going to pass Asbel because he's the greatest 1500 of all time. So we will get a slow heat 1, Centro should make it on the kick but he will have to work harder than the other more talented runners. Then the two Kenyans in heat 2 will make it on time and there will be a three man wall for everyone to try to get past as Asbel glides along in front.
It will be slow and tactical. In that case Leo and Centro have as good of a chance as anyone.
