dem german doctors tho
He JOGGED the last 20 meters
Why does he always have to showboat? I don't understand why people think he is so good for the sport.
He saw Dibaba flaunt her doping and just had to one-up her.
You and the other 3 people who don't like it can go sit in the corner of the room and sulk together while the rest of the world enjoy the show.

This. I watched him race in NYC just 10 weeks ago. He looked terrible. Now, just like that, he's in WR shape?!? This reminds me of Ben Johnson in 88. Slow, injured, then, bam! Too bad the poobahs of the sport don't have the guts or, whatever it was they had in Seoul, to pull the trigger on the sport's biggest name. It's too bad, too, because rampant drug use has killed interest in the sport among both casual and non-casual fans alike.
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYES!!!
So happy Gatlin lost both races.
And Alonso Edward lost the Bronze by 0.002 seconds.

Yeah. Thats right he is just what I want my athletes to see a guy who showboat and acts cocky.
It has nothing to do with Gatlin. I just prefer quite confisennce. If you're good no need to dance around, pound your chest with 10 meters to go or ever talk about how you won't lose. People will remember you cause you're good.

Oh I'm sorry, have you not learned about genetics yet? This guy's genes related to sprinting are unbelievably superior. He's been healthy the last 10 weeks and has trained his tail-fin off. He's clean, and he showboats it. Go cry about something else. And he's not in WR shape you bimbo

It's a sport. It's supposed to be fun. Lighten up.
Haha, yeah that's what will help track compete against big sports like football. LESS bravado. You sir are an idiot! I'm fully with guys like Symmonds. make track like other sports! more spectator friendly! beer gardens, half time events etc. etc. You're STUPID thinking will kill the sport

Right it seems like genetics. And fyi he jogged 15-20 meters and still ran 19.5... he is pretty dang close to WR shape. He is dirty just like 70% of the top athletes. Remember how everyone thought Marion was clean cause she was world class in high school & hadn't failed a test.
Wow. BBC sucks...and Bolt called out Michael Johnson on the interview.
"MJ, stop doubting me, bro"

I don't know that he's clean, but he was identified as a rare talent when he was about 14 and he was the fastest teenager in history. And not every race is a peak race.
Of course, Lance Armstrong and Marion Jones were identified as rare talents when they were teenagers.
I'm going to enjoy the show and not scream "DRUGS!" every time I see a great performance. If they turn out to be dirty, string them up, but in the meantime I'm just going to watch great talent on display.

I don't mind showboating - what people want to see is the exuberance after a win or despondence after losing. I remember Michael Jordan's celebrations more than I remember his shots. Carl lewis never was beloved because he seemed scripted and rehearsed. One of hte best parts of Jerry Maguire was when Jerry advised the player to show some emotion - show that he loves the game.

The myth that Lance Armstrong was identified as a rare talent from young needs to die. It's never been true and anyone who knows anything about cycling knows it's all part of Armstrong's post facto fabricated pedigree.

Exactly. You whoop and hollar, do back flips, drop to your knees, scream , cry, kiss the camera man... whatever you want... but do it after you finished.
