haha I can't tell if Muir is looking at Dibaba like "wtf, how are you not tired" or looking at the scoreboard
Chicks are always overly dramatic at the end of races. Watch an NCAA XC meet sometime.

Well, two things: First, when you easily win a race it's not that tiring. Second, Dibaba ran 18 seconds slower than her world record--plenty left in that gas tank.
Muir and Kipyegon just ran their best ever efforts, and were 13 seconds off their PBs...look pretty spent (also Hassan was leaning on the rail nearby, didn't celebrate despite her first ever medal.
The air of doping is always heaviest around the 1500, even without the Russians.
How the hell are you standing!

Good points. When you win, everything is easier.
But when you have to work for the win, things are different. I remember 2011 Boston Marathon between the then Desiree Davila and Caroline Kilel.
Desi pushed Kilel to the brink, and at the finish it was Kilel on her knees struggling to recover, and Desi quietly walking off stage left wondering if she had could have gone 2 seconds faster.

I don't think I'd compare a 2:22 marathon to a 4:08 1500 (or 1:57 800).

That's about the stupidest f$#king thing I've seen here in a while.

Yes, that's the problem, 1:58 last 800m while letting up and plenty of gas in the tank. NFW. She should at least ACT like she is clean.
People are surprised. But I feel that this is what we should be expecting from Dibaba, rather than "omg she's obviously doping"/"how surprising that she closed in a fast 800".
Most of you never broke 15:00 for 5k (let's be real) and have no idea (it's simple really) why Dibaba can do what she does.
(Also, people celebrate winning all the time; what people show on their faces doesn't say anything about what their bodies are feeling. That's more about how much tolerance to pain you have or the way you yourself handles pain. Simple as that.)
Elite HS boys can regularly close sub 2 off faster paces, and most of them are around 15:00 for 5k. What makes you think Dibaba doesn't have the same if not superior speed endurance?
So Think about it. The field went at a slow pace for the first 800m (2:25 --> 4:50/1600m --> slightly below 15:00 5k); if anything, that's Dibaba's tempo pace considering her 5k pb is 14:15. But it's only 800 meters. Nothing really. By the time she reaches 800m, she isn't trying hard at all. She can just utilize something called speed endurance and her maxed out aerobic capacity to run near her personal best for the final 800 (it overlaps because it's only 1500m) but you get the point.
Don't forget that women can sprint. Just because the fields on the women's side are less deep doesn't lend an outstanding performance like hers to doping. Enjoy the fact that there is someone out there that can do what she does. She is so fearless; it's breathtaking to see her run.

Totally. Let's take a look at what a clean runner looks like after she wins a 1500 WC.

This. No matter how hard you run a 1500m you shouldn't be on the floor afterwards.

+1
Ummm, only the Ethiopians are not tired after the race. It's "team" effort. Just saying.

You should follow ventolin's posts.
I always wondered about this. If women can run 49 or 50 point in the 400m, why don't we see tons of 800m in the 1:53 - 1:55 range? High school boys can easily do this if they have that speed. Same deal going the other way. If you can run 14:40 for 5k you can run 3:53-3:56 for 1500 and under 1:57. If you can run 14:15 you should be 1:53 / 3:50 or faster
