We haven't see this level of drug use (Kenyans, Ethiopians, & Jamaica) since the systematic cases of drug use for athletic achievement of that of East German Olympic teams of the 1970s and 1980s! You forgot you won't find a single competitive athlete with a T ratio less than 4:1, and you sure as heck won't find a single MMA fighter with one less than 6:1 (thanks Vegas), so you can add micro-doses of Testosterone as well.

We are on the cusp of a completely new era in research chemicals, many of which are completely untestable, and have tremendous efficacy.

So, the real question is--

What can be done about it?

This thread is an example of why we need better media education. When a convicted criminal such as Victor Conte can just make a few provocative statements and generate all this hype on threads like this, my hackles go up. Is there a chance Conte is being truthful and really knows what he is talking about? Sure--and there is also a chance that someone will break two hours in the New York Marathon next fall. It's ... possible. What is more probable is that this piece of cheese is bored and lonely and needs to feed his ego, and decided to get his rocks off ny making a few juicy statements. It is entirely likely that some folks are trying to develop new master drugs, but I would not trust anything that comes out of that ahole's mouth.

With Nike controlling usatf, seb coe controlling the IAAF and taking a six figure Nike income do we really think anything is going to come of this? Not one power player athlete will go down unless they aren't protected by the swoosh or do something heinous to get blackballed and used as a fall guy.

Someone mentioned to call them supplements and to make it legel... Maybe that's the way to go so we can have no doubts. Baseball was more fun to watch during the bonds/Sosa/mgwuire era so maybe this will be as well if we say f it adopt willingness to use the needle.

You are very wrong. I want ALL drug cheats banned for life. Have you read anything about Conte and his slippery relationship with law enforcement? I read the material copiously, and he is not a trustworthy man. He was caught, paid a mild penalty for his crimes, and is now irrelevant to our war on cheating. Several key investigators considered him so unreliable that they were furious when he was given judicial consideration for his "cooperation." He is a pathological liar. People like him do far more damage my their persistent lying than they do with their original crimes. So my point is just ignore him. I want the cheats caught---I just don't consider Conte a reliable source of information.

Testers in MMA release the t:e ratios of drug tests. Many are right at or just under 1:1. Try again!
