Pierre Ambroise Bosse pointing fingers against Amel Tuka on French TV

I noticed Bosse shoulder-checked Tuka when the latter was holding up the flag. Obviously hates him.

Bosse is a good runner with phenomenal potential - he is a cerebral intellectual - somewhat similar to Frank Shorter in culture and post race analysis. But sometimes being too cerebral in approach to racing is counter productive, because it detracts from the basic physical demands of a race. Guys like Prefontaine (4th in Munich 5000, 1972) did not over analyze the opposition. Bosse knows all the stats on everyone - he is the Wenger of athletics - but a more simple approach might be better for him.

Remember Mehdi Baala? - I much preferred his way of running - because Baala always gave his max and made races exciting. Baala's smooth acceleration was phenomenal. Unmatched. But Baala sometimes ran out of gas in last 100m, but he always gave it a go in races. Blood and guts.

Irrelevant. If Bosse is clean, and Tuka isn't, he can rightly be bitter.

And being physically superior helps with any kind of strategy. For instance, with PED-induced speed, you can decide to use the strategy to run down everyone in the last hundred metres.

Thanks, I half listened to that interview and didn't understand what he was going on about. That Tuka dued does look suspicious indeed but you're right, making such a comment was out of line. Besides Kszczot didn't get DQd as no one bothered to file a complaint I suppose.

Again, if Ghost is supporting somebody, I immediately suspect them of doping.

He (Ghost) has quite a track record.

Baala was never on the radar for doping - ever so what you write is untrue and libelous.

Baala now works as a coach with the French Federation (Federation Francaise Athletisme). Had there ever been anything suspicious he would not have landed a position with the Federation.

Mehdi is a God Fearing Muslim, family man and good person. He shares many traits with Zinedine Zidane - modesty, reticence, and a quiet demeanor. He always preferred training alone to be near his family.

Baala does not deserve to be doubted here. He is 100 percent clean. Everyone in France knows this.

I don't doubt that Baala is clean and actually thought him very talented. About his character though, didn't he and Mekhissi-Benabad punch each out in Monaco? And it looks, to me at least, that Baala started it with that head-but.

Some of you chaps are confusing Baala with other French/Maghreb runners who were busted in the past.

Baala never doped and nor did his good mate Bouabdallah Tahri (Bob - to his friends).

Tahri is a great guy. When he trains in Addis Ababa - he always buys breakfast and other meals for his Ethiopian friends. Bob was also very friendly and popular in Iten, Kenya - where he trained for many years. Ask any Kenyan athlete - they all love 'Bob'

Farah - also a fixture at the Lornah Kiplagat camp is also revered and respected by his Kenyan hosts - but they wonder how they can beat the pure London accent talking Brit. Might never happen if Mo is unbeaten next year in Rio.

Well it seems that trouble is always following Mekhissi tough.

He should have kept his composure sure, but that doesn't really say anything about his character overall.

Yes Mekhissi and Baala had issues and never got along.

Mekhissi was basically a street kid up to all sorts of trouble as a youngster, but then spotted by a coach at an Athletics club in N.E. France.

When you know how French Maghribians grow up in the 'villes dortoirs Francaises' - you can understand the aggression. You need a certain aggression in the French 'projects' - to survive - because there is gang and peer pressure.

Baala was always serious as a boy and a decent student. He is highly intelligent. Baala and Mekhissi's fisticuffs in Monaco was the result of many years of bad feelingbetween the two. Mekhissi once admitted that most of his former friends ended up in prison, or drug addicts. You have to live in France to understand the problems French Maghribians face every day. French Maghribians have trouble getting jobs and renting property. Despite laws in place, these social problems continue to fester, giving power to the French Far Right - who now have a much more respectable spokesperson in Madame Le Pen - daughter of Monsieur LePen - the outspoken former leader of 'Le Front National.'
