We are wondering how far one has to travel from Boulder
to get to 2000-2500 feet. Is it even possible?
And visa versa? How about 7500-8000 feet?
Thanks in advance from way down here at 10 feet!

The lowest point in CO is ~3300ft near the KS,NB,CO border - not really possible.
Nederland ~17 miles up Bldr Canyon is ~8240ft, Magnolia Rd is ~10 miles up Bldr Canyon ~ 7500ft or so - both short drives.
Rumor has it that Said Aouita used to spend time up at Gold Hill and come down into Boulder to run - a half hour drive and about 4,000 change in elevation.
go to flagstaff

also, about fifteen minutes by car west of ned is eldora mountain, with a base elevation of 9300' and peak elevation of 10,800' . . . in addition to all the other smaller higher altitude areas near ned like brainard lake, caribou, and rollinsville, with miles and miles of dirt roads and trails.
