Clean athletes do not run that fast in workouts. It does NOT happen. Mo is able to recover at age 32 due to PEDs. Look at Mo Farah. At age 25 he could not have run a 3:55 mile in a race and then run a 51 after, especially with the multiple intervals in between. Let's be honest here, folks.

Coaching maybe? In past articles about his old training it was said he never ran under 4 minute pace in workouts and 7 min pace easy runs. Also, as we all know he never did any strength training before Salazar. I know you won't believe it but all those things matter and can make a huge difference. As can his diet and recovery regime which have also changed drastically. I'm not sure why you think 32 is old? With technology and sports medicine these days athletes are having much longer careers. 40 is the new 30 basically. 3:55 wouldn't be too hard for someone with a 3:28 1500 pr. 58-59s are probably very easy for Farah. Remember he has closed a 5k in 50 seconds before so closing a workout in 51 wouldn't be any trouble for him.

You are missing the point, or perhaps being naive on purpose. Saying a 3:55 would not be that hard for somebody with a 3:28 pr missed the point. That is like saying that Lance Armstrong doing an unbelievable climb up a mountain would not be that hard for a 7 time TDF winner. The point is that Farah went from barely being able to run a 3:55 mile in a race to doing it as part of a workout. Armstrong also attributed his success to more intense training. Duh...

Mo used to train alongside Craig Mottram ... Yet apparently he never ran 4 minute pace in workouts before Salazaar.

Mo trained alongside Micah Kogo for years ... Yet apparently he always did easy runs at 7 minute pace before Salazaar.

The myth making continues...

This Meb Farah dude is to SKINNY. I have some respect for him for winning Boston after the attacks, but at some point, he should start eating more PROTEIN so he can BUFF up. If I watch sports on TV, I also want to see something that is aesthetically pleasing.

Your post makes no sense. The point is that before Salazar, Farah was struggling to finish high in European X-Country, and he was exhausted at the finish. Now he is a world beater who finishes and looks fresh soon after. Figure it out...

That video you posted was a one time happening, not a common theme in pre-Salazar Mo.

It WAS a common theme that Mo Farah was being routinely defeated by runners who were relatively mediocre for world class runners. Then SOMETHING changed.

Whoever that guy was from the other day he's probably the same guy who said that Rupp let Mo win the gold in the 10,000 in London as he let up at the end of the race and would have beaten him. Honestly, are people that dumb? Lapped runners getting in "his" way? Yeah sure. What has happen to people?

Exactly. How many of the guys in that 10,000m can even run much faster than 3:55? And for Farah it is apparently how he loosens up for a ladder culminating in a 51 second 400. This from a guy who couldn't routinely run a 3:55 in his mid 20s when competing.

Most distance runners learn before they leave high school what happens when your weight drops too low. You get injured and/or lose all your energy as your metabolism shuts down.

Something (other than thyroid meds) must have been discovered to prevent that from happening, however it seems to be short-lived. Most of track's famine victims race sparingly and yo-yo between amazing and terrible in the space of a few weeks. That's not what you'd expect from either blood doping or steroids, something new is going on.

And the sprinters seem to have an amazing new stimulant, which also might be in use by distance people.

Farah collapsed after the New York half. He's never eliminated that tendency.

This is preciously why Mo Farah will continue to be a world-beater till he retires from Track after the London Worlds #OneMoMile
