Read his statements and quotes leading up to the Worlds: that this was just going to be a coronation for Gatlin, and an "invitation" for all the other Finalists. Not even sure what he really meant by that, except that there WAS NO WAY Gatlin was going to lose. And yet . . . . oh yeah, there was an actual race, and Gatlin lost. I guess that's why we have athletes actually compete, and we don't give out trophies based on what "should happen." While I'm not a Gatlin fan [2-time drug cheat; and yet running faster than ever at 34], I did appreciate the fact that all the big guns were racing each other. If it is going to survive, T&F needs real rivalries and people racing each other, not ducking each other.
