Andy Vernon has another go at Farah

Vernon seems to think Farah's interview saying he loves representing his country & winning medals was a dig at him. Totally deluded and bitter beyond belief

Wow. I wanted to give this guy the benefit of the doubt and assume that all of his Twitter drama was just the result of misguided attempts at humor, but this pretty much settles it that Vernon is just a douche.

This guy just needs to shut down his Twitter account. It's not helping his marketability at all.

Vernon is around the same age as Mo when he improved. If Vernon went to Salazer and started lifting weights maybe he could win the Olympics next year?

Think you might have some learning difficulties. Vernon's tweet was clearly a reference to the fact that he was a somewhat surprising exclusion from the British team. He was making the point that having run the qualifying time he too would love to represent his country. If only he wasn't having a personal clash with the golden boy/old man of British Athletics.

How could it be a low blow when Vernon was the one who denied Farah even the right to represent the UK?

Asked about the pair's history, Farah said: 'It happened in the European Championships in Zurich where he came second in the race I won.

'We were sitting down together and there were a number of staff and athletes there too.

'One comment he made, which I didn't really like, was to say that he should have won the gold.

'I was like, "What, the gold should have been given to you?". And I was like, because he was the only European guy? You can't say something like that. I was kind of biting my tongue at the time.

'I don't know what he meant, but at that point it hurt me. But I moved on. That was private.'

Are you completely ignorant? You want only the "supposed" medal winners to be allowed to compete at Worlds? How about at the Olympics, all marathons, local races, as well? That really is the stupidest idea ever.

not what i was saying. clearly the point was that AV is getting his panties in a twist like him being left off the team is nothing more than a little baby crying about not getting his WC finisher t-shirt. Reminds me of that American crybaby who was wrongly put on the marathon team, then taken off, then he tries to take everyone to court so that a 2:15 dime a dozen marathoner can represent the USA.

If there wasn't a GB medal contender then he would've been selected. As there was, it made no sense to send Vernon to be an also-ran.
