All SEC sucks jokes aside, whats the down low on the top teams?
Any new foreigners at Auburn, A&M or Arkansas?
Predictions?
How will the Ole Miss 1500 guys fair with another year under their belt on the cross?

Look for Zack Beavin to do some damage
Like Sampson, if Zack Beavin keeps growing out his hair, he will keep bulking. He may not be the fastest, but he will beat everyone else into a pulp, win SECs, eat honey out of a dead lion's carcass, and then die of some sort of disease from eating food out of a carcass. But not before winning.
Ole Miss for the title.
Watch out for Carlos Miranda from UF
UF was holding back last year. They red-shirted a bunch. They will be back this year.
UGA was holding back last year. They red-shirted a bunch. They will be back this year.
Mississippi got some good transfers. They will be tough
Arkansas is always tough. There's a reason they have won the 22 out of the last 24. Don't bet against them.
Missouri will once again under-perform
Ole Miss
Arkansas
Florida
Kentucky
Georgia
Mizzou
Auburn
Texas A&M
Alabama
Tennessee
Mississippi State
LSU
Vanderbilt
If I'm not mistaken, Kentucky got Jacob Thompson from NC State. So, they should be better.
Jacob Thomson (NCSU) to Kentucky
Ryan Manahan (Georgetown) to Ole Miss
Eric Graf (Oklahoma) to Georgia
Nikki Hiltz (Oregon) to Arkansas
Rachael Reddy (Texas) to Alabama
Arin Rice (TCU) to Texas A&M

Also, Ryan Walling (UNC) to Ole Miss - 5th Year
At LSU, KD has handed over full control of the CC training to wunderkind Fed Cooke. Look for the Tigers to make noise this fall.
I believe Walling does not have cross eligibility, just track.
Bump. race is friday - course possibly underwater

How do you enjoy running at LSU? Does BR offer many good running trails?
Ole Miss has not been good this year.
Mississippi St is decent on the women's side
But Arkansas will sweep again no problem

Not sure what is going on at Ole Miss. M.J. Erb has gone from being the number one runner for Syracuse in their 5th place NCAA XC effort last year to barely being able to crack his old team's top five--given the Wisconsin results of this year. The same with Craig Engels. Based on the NC State team's (his old school) finish at Wisconsin this year, he would barely make their top five. Trevor Gilley has become almost a non-factor with his 223rd finish at Wisconsin (8:56? high school). Their top finisher at SEC XC last year, Wesley Gallager, has not even been able to make their team this season. He was 10th fastest on the team at Louisville this year. All SEC freshman at XC last year, Taylor Caldwell has not been able to show his face, since. Fellow All-SEC freshman, Mark Robertson, has shown no improvement since last season. All of this after a year of training at Mississippi with the latest "fad" coach. Tried and true methods work best. Guess what, transfers, the grass is not greener at Ole Miss. Probably cursing himself the most is M.J. Erb. Would have had a chance at an NCAA team title at Syracuse had he stayed. How often do you get a chance like that? Arkansas will win the conference because they have a coach who knows how to prepare.

Watch out for his marathon debut. The Dartmouth senior is poised for a great career on the roads.

Lots of factors at play...Syracuse may have benefited from Erb being off the team. Whether you're the #1 or #12 guy, not having guys that are 100% committed helps a team. As Rojo said before "...addition by subtraction..."
What kills me is that Ole Miss got this group of transfers sold on putting together a special team. Some of those kids had an even better academic situation than at Ole Miss. They should just admit they went to the Grove for the coeds. I'm not one to trash the academic rep of an institution but Ole Miss or most institutions in the deep south are pretty weak. I live in the south and am surrounded by grads from these institutions. Just about everyone I know will get out hustled from a Yankee!
