Hmm pretty sure we have seen guys (mo farah and nick Willis) pr for the 1500 past 30. Not that it's the norm but pretty sure if you keep training and progressing you can pr in your 30s at all of those events. Well maybe not the 800, but nick symmonds ran his pr in London when he was 28. So to the poster who said 23-25, you are wrong. I think the age debate is outdated. People are competing and training longer these days and we are seeing them run better at an older age. Even around 40 the human body does not regress as much as one would think. Look at lagat and meb.

Mo and Willis are at the top of their game at age 33 in the 1500
