Sage Watson (400m/4hurdles) is transferring from Florida State and heading to the Arizona Wildcats! Fred Harvey is an experienced coach so I assume she will do well there. Same place that Georganne Moline (American 400 hurddles) graduated from.

there's a fifth yr senior that's notably absent from their roster:

don't know if he's leaving because of the henner thing, though.

Not sure this is a step up for Thomson.
In addition to Watson to Arizona, Zyaire Cleme, one of the top high school 400 runners in the country in 2014, has transferred to from Florida State to USC. Lots of rumors about the Florida State program, and none of them good.
Any idea of any big names doing fifth years? I think sometimes (like in the case of Leah O'Connor), a couple fifth years can make a team.
well that's just not true at all. Irishman Sean Tobin has huge pedigree at XC and is a lock to be in their top 5. Signed for Ole Miss straight out of HS.
He couldn't handle course load at nc state
No idea why you wouldn't just put Colin Leibold's name. Any idea where he is going? Or if he is even using the fifth year?

Indiana's undergrad academic programs aren't very good. It's a party school. And the team is made up of non-scholarship student that just want to "be apart of a DI program". They aren't concerned with getting better or competing for championships.
IU is certainly a great party school, but many of IU's undergrad programs are actually renowned. In any case, your explanation for why the twins transferred is completely off the mark (although it was a fine trolling effort). They had endured a number of personal hardships through the year, and Helmer was basically a total pr**k to them, so they opted for a change. It was time to go their separate ways.
Courtney Frerichs (second NCAA 3000m steeple, XC All-American) of UMKC to University of New Mexico for her 5th year.
watch out for the Lobos, huge transfers that should place them back on the podium.
This is pretty much game over for the rest of the NCAA. When your #4 was 6th at NCAAs in the 5k you are going to dominate. This will be a bigger margin of victory than Michigan state last year.

It's funny looking at their returning roster...5 girls from England, 1 girl from Estonia, and 3 from New Mexico (two of which are twins). Franklin has had success, but it's really hard to tell if he is actually a good coach. Could be just a good manager with terrific international contacts. Certainly appears he is not good at recruiting US talent, at least on the women's side. And then if they are bringing in a bunch of top transfers, I don't think that reflects any better on him and the program, unless he has a strong US freshman class this year too. Not that he cares, obviously.
Joe hired UMKC coach and he delivered Frerich transfer to New Mexico. 9:32 steepler who was 13th at NCAA in cc last fall. Looks shady.
Joe does what he can with the weak support he gets from the UMN athletic dept. Might seem shady or desperate to some, but it is really just a guy doing what he can to be competitive
The McGowan twins are transferring from Roger Williams to Penn State. They both broke 9 in high school.

Same could be said about Ken Harden FSU to Georgia. Also please refer to UMKC coaches bio born and raised in New Mexico, was a volunteer there before going to UMKC only makes sense that he would come back home and Joe knows him.
Kendal Williams from FSU to Georgia - will be able to compete again for 2016-17 seasons due to not being granted full release.

So wait, Georgia will have Kendel Williams AND Kendall Williams, or is it Kendell Williams and Kendal Williams ? Help me jeezus
Sounds like a Monty Python skit
Speaking of Penn State, why is Tony Russell not on this year's roster?
