The Kenyans are basically going to work as a team in the 10k , this will be the 1st time Mo faces that kind of a challenge since he became a world beater in 2011

nope.
The race will slow down until the last 200 when farah outkicks all of them
This is Rupp's year to win.

"discus"
'Discus is a routine part of most modern track-and-field meets at all levels and is a sport which is particularly iconic of the Olympic Games. The men's competition has been a part of the modern Summer Olympic Games since the first Olympiad in 1896.'
'The discus, the object to be thrown, is a heavy lenticular disc with a weight of 2 kilograms (4.4 lb) and diameter of .219 m (0 ft 81⁄2 in) for the men's event, and a weight of 1 kilogram (2.2 lb) and diameter of .180 m (0 ft 7 in) for the women's program.'

didn't the Kenyan's attempt this during the 2013 5000m final only to have the field reel them back in?
I dont think they did, watch the race again
Douglas Burke,
I truly think Rupp has a shot at gold in China
why are you so bitter?

any chance of a world record tony?
Mo Farah has never been a world beater, the world just continues to not show up at champs.
It's entirely possible some sort of bribery is involved.

Almost.
Rupp is shot.
It seems there is a difference between the idea of team tactics and implementing them. I think it's their best shot, but until I see the Kenyans actually do it, and stick with it, in a championship 10k or 5k, I remain skeptical.

I think I have heard that somewhere before.
Not gonna happen. This is still my favourite ever post on this forum. It was posted after Mo won the double 2 years ago...

Won't happen.
The only thing as predictable as Kenyans running stupidly against Mo Farah is Kenyans talking big about how they're not going to run stupidly against Mo Farah.

There is a possibilty that stupid Kenyan journalists wrote that by pulling words out of Kenyans' mouths.
It probably was in the form of a leading question with stupid journalists looking for a desired answer.
They do this all the time before a championship.
"Kenyans plot to beat Bekele..."
It's all nonsense.
Why is Rupp going two months without a race prior to World's?

This. Always annoys me how the Kenyan "journalists" make these sensational headlines when the athlete didn't say anything like that.
It'd be great to see the Kenyans use teamwork to try and take down Farah (especially in the 10,000 where I think it has best chance of working), but I'm not getting my hopes up. Put yourself in any one of their shoes. Are they willing to risk their own race so that one of them has the potential of winning, or would they rather run their own race and hope that they're best of the rest and can get silver or bronze?
A lot of money/prestige comes with even a silver or bronze. Hard for some of these guys (especially the ones who haven't been there/medalled before) to risk a DNF or DFL for an outside shot at gold.
They did this successfully at the 2001 world champs against Geb. Kept throwing surges and controlling the pace while some 20 year old Kenyan lurked in the middle until the last 200m. Geb was out of his prime but it was still impressive.
This has been tried before, but by the Ethiopians. In 2012, remember the 5000 Olympic final? How did that work for them?
