Rumor on the street is that he is opting for a low profile flat course Marathon in the fall to get his BAA Boston Marathon BQ Qualifier in.
Unfortunately, his previously recorded AR 2:04:00 expired and can no longer used as qualifier.
So he will probably just "jog through" it to make sure he BQ's.
According to his twitter, he is in incredible shape right now:

New record low resting heart rate this morning: 26. I guess I'm well rested coming off a built in recovery week!
That's lower than Lance Armstrong ever recorded.
Can't imagine 26 is accurate. Afaik the current WR is 27 bpm.
Maybe he only checked it for 30 seconds and he forgot you then need to double that number.

Wikipedia:
"Martin Brady holds the Guinness world record for the slowest heart rate with a certified rate over a minute duration of 27 BPM and a recorded rate of 26 BPM on a full ECG.[10] Professional cyclist Miguel Indurain had a resting heart rate of 28 BP.M.[11] Daniel Green holds the world record for the slowest heartbeat in a healthy human, with a heart rate measured in 2014 of 26 bpm."
His stroke volume must be massive.

That's what she said...
heart rate should be measured as an average over 10 minutes for record purposes. You can think your heart to slow down if it's only a minute. You can also take a deep breath at the end and slow down even more.
