I'm in Pierre South Dakota and heading north on 83. I'll cross the border in about 3 hours near Hague North Dakota and when I do so it will be my 50th state.
I will be wearing an LRC shirt if a welcoming part is going to be sent.
I took a 3 hour detour yesterday to cross Nebraska off the list. I realized I had never been there after confirming i didn't drive through on a road trip from Boulder to Terre Haute for NCAA xc.
Only state that may be a bit iffy is Michigan. I've been to the Detroit airport multiple times. I thought i drove from Detroit to Canada once but it didn't happen.
I lived in Chicago as a kid for 3 years and need to see if we ever went to Michigan. I was trying not to count airports.
Major announcement: I will be crossing the border into ND and my 50th state shortly

Cool story bro. Send me a postcard.
-
How many are there in total? I know I could count on the flag but have none around...
-
nice! there should be a U.S. government reception for you...but it probably won't happen because it's a Sunday.
most people never make it to more than 8-10 states i'm guessing.
i'm 32 and only have 3 left, so your record is in jeopardy. Alaska, South Dakota, and New Mexico. Feet have to touch the ground for it to count.

I dun bin ta all tha confeeeederat states .
-
Big deal. Obama went to 57 during his first campaign for presidency.
-
What attire is permitted for the welcoming party? Is it black-tie only or is any good suit acceptable?
-
Airports definitely do not count. Get Michigan taken care of.
I (age 31) have three trips left to get to 50. One to Alaska, one to New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, and one to Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Maybe I should find some races in those places.
When did you go to Alaska, wejo? -
Wejo, whenever you get into North Dakota, could you please call Rojo and ask him when he plans to publish the Mike Rossi article?
-
49 for me . I'm missing Michigan but I have Alaska as both a state and a territory - no only in airport states.
I have a friend who is missing Alaska and Michigan as States she has visited and had sex in- her husband co-holds that record although he was not a husband during their visits to all the states and they did not visit Hawaii together.
For track and field fans the all NACAC countries, a country in all the IAAF Areas and the biggie all IAAF member countries would be great visited targets.
Congratulations -
So you have 4 more States to go? 54 states plus miami?
-
Wejo, you ran the River Bank Run in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2001. Congrats!
-
My dad has confirmed I went to Michigan as a kid.
You all are right I need to dress appropriately for the occasion. I will put on a jacket on top of my LRC shirt. It being the sabbath that governor could not send a welcoming party.
I may send one of my dogs across first to make sure it is safe.
It looks like I'll have internet. I will see if I can periscope the crossing.
I went to alaska 3 years ago and loved it. Favorite state outside of Texas.
And sex in all 50 states? I knew I was going to be one upped. -
Check twitter for periscope . 7 miles away

You should have come up to Fargo. We're having steak.
-
ND is going to be a huge disappointment after visiting South Dakota. Please accept my condolences. That being said it is also literally on my list of the last place I would want to visit in the US and I'm from South Dakota!
-
there is nothing in north dakota, it is just the area left over after they drew all the other states
-
+1
