I'm guessing that everybody who is posting on this thread has had their body fat estimated with either a 7-point fat caliper test or has been hydrostatic weighed within the last month or two. Many people have no idea what their body fat is, but they like to make up numbers to impress people.
yeah right is probably real real fat! heeheehee!!! have another cookie dude!
Male

6'1"
151
4.3% (7pt caliper)
whats a caliper?
Actually I had hydrostatic weighing done 2 weeks ago. It estimated me at 6.5%. Also had a 7-point skinfold test done last week and came out at 6.5%. I am 5'9" and weigh 148. (I have also run a 4:10 mile)
Estimating body fat isn't exactly an exact science. The formulas we use to estimate have to assume certain things, like bone density, level of hydration, experience of the person using the calipers or doing the hydrostatic weighing. Current body fat forumulas have been written from studies on 7 cadavers. Only 7. I doubt that those 7 cadavers are representative of the entire population.
That said, if you have someone with a lot of experience measure your body fat percentage, they will more than likely get very, very close to what your number is. Most of the time you can add or subtract 2 or 3 to your number. For example, I would say that my body fat is about 7% plus or minus 2 percent.
yeah right,
you are definitely fat. you are also a tool. just sayin'.
am I really fat? how much should I lose?
6' 4" 270lbs, don't want to know, 0 MPW Running, 6 MPW Walking, roughly 900 MPW Driving
ok, now thats really obese
5'8, 140lbs(depending on the day; somtimes I'm 137 somtmies 142)after thanksgiving I was 146, then I went back down to 141...Since i've stopped running for the past few months because of a stress fracture i've been able to keep my weight between 140 and 145 which isn't bad since i haven't been really consistent
Obese is a pretty strong word, I prefer Big. My blood pressure is 120/70, cholestorol is 170 and in all honesty, my body fat is somewhere in the neighborhood of 20% If you saw me walking down the street you'd probably think that I weighed about 230. I just wanted to participate in the roll call and represent for men of stature.
