They won 39 out of 48 Olympic medals from 1900-1972, including every gold except 2. In fact there have only been 8 gold medalists from anywhere outside the USA.

I don't think Kenya can even claim this type of dominance in the steeple. At least not for as long as we dominated the 110 hurdles. Can anyone beat that? or at least come close?

Mens 400m? USA won 43 of 79 medals. 19/27 in gold medals, Also mens 4x400 and Kenyans in steeplechase (although Evan Jager might break the rule in 2016).

US won every PV gold from 1896 to 1968.
Seagren only lost in '72 because they (unfairly and incorrectly) ruled his poles illegal and he had to borrow poles...still managed silver though.
That debacle was worse than the US-soviet basketball controversy that occurred in the same games.

Nobody that you know of maybe but it would seem unlikely that Kenya actually didn't have one random guy that could have done it.
'76 was certainly the only year in history that three white guys could run as fast as they did.
