The NOP doping investigation has obviously been huge mainstream news in both the UK where the BBC and many of the biggest papers have covered it as well in Oregon.
We are curious as to what type of coverage it's getting locally in the rest of the US.
On Sunday, the Baltimore Sun ran an article on the investigation on page 2 of the Sports page as shown here:

The problem with covering the story is that any journalist from a local newspaper would have to plagiarize both Propublica and BBC's content in its entirety to report on it. It took Epstein 2 years to write the story, how is it very likely that your local newspaper is going to provide any original content?

At best this is a minor story in the US.
This will never go mainstream in the US. Remember that Lance was a global icon, which is why the story was huge. USATF championships had less viewers than the PBA (bowling) Scorpion Championship. If one of those bowlers were doping, would anyone know about it? If you look at top distance runners on instagram they usually have between 5k-15k followers. That's insanely low for a top athlete. My sister owns three nail salons and has 30k followers. Salazar can thank the weak fan base sport for keeping his job. In reality, no one (outside of LetsRun) knows what NOP is in the US, or understands its affiliation with Nike.

Yes, they covered it shortly after the allegations were presented and so did my local TV news station.

My grandma asked me what I thought about it shortly after the story broke, I was surprised that she heard about it that fast, but she reads the newspaper every day.

They have also not covered the story that the CIA concocted the "counterculture" in the Laurel Canyon area of Los Angeles in the late 60s early 70s in order to discredit the ant-war movement. The latter actually has far more evidence to support it.

Three or four articles in the Boston Globe, one in the Boston Herald. Salazar grew up in the area where he was a high school star and he won the Boston Marathon in a memorable race. Plus, I'd guess that more people here follow running than most places but I may be biased since I do and hang around with others who do. There's a difference between the next ten largest cities - this would include surveying every city in the world that was near the population of the biggest city near me - and the next nearest ten large cities from me.
