Anyone know of any "hidden gem" running programs out there? or solid ones? Oberlin is my top choice right now. but i don't know if the running is that great... preferably in the northeast, maybe around washington or ohio at the furthest..

oberlin has a good track coach. unfortunately, he is only the athletic director.
williams, wesleyan, or geneseo
williams, wesleyan, or geneseo
middlebury
I think he is asking for good schools with good running programs. Midd is just a summer camp with a mediocre men's team. Now if you were a woman, different story of course, because then it is a mediocre school with a strong (and hot) team.
Haverford. Fourth in D3 this year, lot of guys coming back. Great academics.
Messiah College in Pennsylvania has very strong academics and has a very good athletic program. Their running program is not as strong as some, but they have had some very good runners come through.
Haverford and Williams for men.
Middleburry and Amherst for women.
stonehill college- easton, ma. great small liberal arts school with strong distance running program. give it a look!

Are you forgetting that Williams women won nationals this year? It's strong on both sides.
Harvard?
harvard isn't exactly small... or good for that matter, i've heard from many that it's overrated.
There is an excellent liberal arts school in central Ohio by the name of Denison University, same conference as Oberlin. The school is one of the liberal arts schools in Ohio that has an excellent academic reputation in the nation. As well the first 12 spots on the CC varsity team is made up of freshmen and sophmores. They were 3rd in the conference this past year and obviously graduate none of their top guys for two years...worth taking a look at
thanks, Denison definitly looks good...
since when has middlebury been a "mediocre" school academically? it's certainly been right up there with amherst, williams, bowdoin, etc.
