Someone's off the juice.
Why is it silent?

That's one of the worst races I've ever seen.
That shows incredible endurance, that he just ran 27:07 for 10000 and 13:15 for 5000 and he can only run 4:07 for a 1500.
I thought he had run 3:36 for 1500 in the past, so either he ran a tactical or a bad race, or his leg speed is totally gone which could be a good thing, if he can run 27:07 for 10000 but only run 4:07 for 1500, then he should be able to smash the world record at half marathon. I think it was more likely a tactical or bad race.

Trust me, if you'd heard the commentary for the rest of the meet, you'd be grateful that it's quiet.
that is not one of the worst races I have ever seen - that is THE worst race I have ever seen. Canada seriously? Was that 2.29 at 800m?!?!?
Nate Brannen ran one of the most comically bad tactical races I have ever seen from a 10 year pro who should know WAYYYY better. He needs to retire.
Oh, Canada.
WTF. I'd rather watch a high state championship mile race.
You guys are all wrong. You're simply not sophisticated enough to appreciate the beautiful, complex tactics that were at play in this race. This is what elite distance running is all about.
[throws self off cliff]
Well, at least we now know who the best 400m runner (amongst the 1500m runners) is in Canada. I got Riva at 52.0 for the last 400m.

Why are you guessing about how it played out? The OP provided a link.
How fast was the post-race workout? Like literally doesn't AlSAl have them doing miles faster than this after world record attempts?
It's more shocking that so many people blew by him on the last lap.
It's too bad they didn't let the women run in this race, it was right on pace for them getting their qualifying standards.

Not really. I believe that the women went out quite a bit faster... I guess that they could have blocked the wind for the guys however.
To be fair, having Cam in the race changes the dynamic for all.
Because Cam doesnt care about his qualifying top 3, just wanted a rehearsal for fast closing speed.
Note this race is held at semi-altitude with quite a nasty headwind.
Also, note other guys in this field have spend years running 600's in the Cdn system @ 1:21 or so, so they are no sloutchs.
Cant blame Cam, but Brannen should have known better imo...

Amusingly similar to Mary Cain's splits and result at US nationals off of same race plan - go to front, kill pace, count on kick.
300m: 52
700m: 2:10 [1:18!)
1100m: 3:14 (1:04)
1500m: 4:07 (:53)
maybe he needs to do more long slow distance
