If you factored in all races, easy recovery runs, and everything in between, what would you ballpark would have been Bill Rogers' AVERAGE PACE PER MILE over the course of a year? My guess is somewhere around 6min/mile?
My motivation for asking, if you are curious:
Could I keep up that mileage for a year? Almost certainly not.
Could I keep up that mileage for a month? Very doubtful.
Could I keep up that mileage for a week? Probably, with more training. My max is still well below that, though.
But what I really want to know is, and what would be a goal easier (not easy) to attain, is: what would it look like if I just tried to STAY ON MY FEET as long as he did for a week (or a month, etc.) running at my paces instead of his. (I don't intend to try anytime soon, btw, as I doubt my 6'3" 205lb frame would handle it very well if I just jumped in with both feet, lol)
