Anyone ever had a great race while suffering from a mild head cold: a little nasal congestion, scratchy throat, headache (maybe tiny fever)?
I've always heard that the rule was that colds above the shoulders are no big deal, that it's when they get into your chest that it's a problem.
I also remember a coach once saying that, once you've turned the corner on a cold and the symptoms are starting to diminish, you might even feel stronger due to extra blood cells produced to combat the virus. Kinda like a cold-induced blood doping. Sounds a little far-fetched
