Goucher/Salazar at Portland Track Festival

Cute thread, but AlSal only follows Rupp around. He was not at many of the indoor meets this year.

The date on the Oiselle site is incorrect for Goucher & Babcock. The PTF takes place over 2 days, but lumped everyone onto the 14th. Hopefully they realize the women's 5000 is only on the 13th!

If Hasay races, you know Alberto is going to be there. Goucher will definitely be a no show. She has to be thinking about all the heat she'll receive from the pro NOP crowd, avoiding THAT situation at all costs.

You are wrong. The Letsrun forum is actually so entitled and elitist that they are the ones that throw NOP under the bus and hate them. The majority of the track and field fan world is too ignorant and naive to give two sh*ts about the things we would remove limbs over.

These people also love Kara, however, so the original point is moot.

I have heard ordinary non-track people gossiping about Salazar, Rupp and Farah. They don't know who Hasay is. They don't know anyone but the big names that got olympic coverage.

They are like me with swimming. I know Phelps and Lochte, and I know that Dutch swimmer Eggerzegge or something simply because the name stands out. And I guess Alan Webb swims in his triathalons.

If Rupp runs the odds seem high of fight between the fanboys and haters. A bunch of scrawny runners fighting each other, while Salazar covers Rupp to avoid injury to his star.

Your right. See NOP gear on runners at road races. Some LRC posters asked where to get their sibglet too in an old thread. Do a search.

Personally, the logo looks sketchy. Sketchy logo for sure. Who greenlit that design? The lab? its like it is subversive or something. A skull? something like the logo represents the dark side.With this report, is it literal?

Probably both with a 1000 at 2:20 and 400 at 50 after the lights are out following the meet.

The start lists for Portland are supposed to be announced today.

New York Diamond League is on Saturday and there is an NOP presence there.

As already mentioned, Mary Cain is running a 1000 that looks like it was set up for her specifically, long after the cameras will all go home. Erin Donohue and Hannah England are also in this race.

Centro is in New York running the 800 against a great field including David Rudisha, Duane Solomon, and Robby Andrews.

Moser is in the women's 800 which is also a DL event.

Should point out that Nick Willis will be racing the 5000 (along with Ben MF True). Will Nick and Centro get into a shouting match?
