anyone?
no. nike milers, lanangs, shifts, eldoret II's, and vents are all pretty much superior to any shoes out on the market today from other brands. however, a couple of my friends have the New Balance LDS 1000, and they love it. they said its similar to the kennedy's in weight and feel, but without the wierd spike pattern.
I love my Puma Harambees!
I still like my kens.
nike milers, lanangs, shifts, eldoret II's, and vents...which do you prefer?
oh geez i forgot the kennedy's!
well, for the mile, any of the shoes i mentioned in the previous post will do. but, if you plan on running the 800/1500, go with the milers, shifts or lanangs. if you're going to be 1500/mile and 3000/3200/2mile, go with milers, eldorets, kennedy's or vents.
it also depends on your running form, aka do you get up on your toes a lot at mile pace, bc the above shoes have vastly different spike plates. some more info, perhaps?
Even though they are technically 400-800 spikes, I like the Maxcats for the mile also. But I am a "speed guy" who does a lot of toe running.
check out sketchers new line of spikes... i hear they are totally going to blow away everything on the market today.... also look out for the Keds and Tims to come out with a new spike line in early 2006.
The ones that dig huge gashes into the leg of whoever feels the need to block my way.
If you're sub 5, which every running nerd on this website probably is, just get milers. Light, agressive, ownage. Enjoy.
Nike Zoom Distance...old but great. Went from running the mile in 4:35 to 4:28 (the same week) using zoom distance and dropped my 800 from 2:02 to 1:58. I was wearing jasaris before. the zoom distance is good for middle distance (pushes one up on the toes).
what would be better for the 1600/3200
The eldoret's or the kennedies
Last year I actually ran all my events in kennedy xc's and felt fine so should i go w/ the track kennedies?
Hey i got news for you idiots, its not the shoes its YOU...but i enjoy the reebok foster deluxe distance. Lightest shoe on the market baby
yeah thats how i am too, up on the toes the entire time. i wore my adistar lightsprints for an entire season of 800s, liked those, but they wered the most comfortable. ran a couple 1600s/miles in those too, but mainly 4x8 and 4x4 every meet. have the milers now, might check out the Maxcats.

im willing to bet a 3.5% drop in time is very uncommon as a result of switching shoes...mainly because it's impossible
Roos Racers.
