Just curious when and where this began. I've shaved my legs since my high school days (early 90's) and only did so only because a collegiate runner (which whom I looked up to) shaved his. Now as I approach my 40's I still prefer my legs shaven during the summer time (when in shorts) and definitely if I'm racing...but rarely shave during the winter months or when my racing is reduced. I know cyclists and body builders shave for more specific reasons...but why runners and what began this trend?
