Say there is a group of 6 people in a 3000m who suposedly want to crack 9 minutes.
Why should a guy lead a whole 5 laps in rainy windy conditions alone while all the others refuse to take the lead? Like a lap each one or so? I decided to abandon the race at 2km because i was pissed the f**k off at the moment (should have continued i know) and i refused to be parasite's food. Also leading in those conditions didn't do me no good either. splits of 2:57 and 6:04. It has also happened before in another 3000m during 7 laps with one guy only (yes 2800m) only to be dusted last 200m.
Has it ever happened to you? If you are a sitter-only i would like to hear your side too.
PS: I understand that i could also act like a b**ch and purposely slow it down (6:20+)but there ain't no cracking 9 minutes for me that way, plus it wasn't a championship or anything.
