This is FAR FROM WAR. if you have never been in a WAR you cant say that. YES he should apologize. There is no place in sport for that type of antics. Be gracious, You only won the baby World Champ. now when you win the ACTUAL World Champs you can celebrate.

Enough already. People can call something war without it meaning actual war. There's a game of cards called war, do you flip out at that? Anyone can use the term war, being in war does not entitle you to be the only one.
In that case my Junior Olympics bronze medal from regionals will now be called an Olympic bronze. Words matter.

Oh please, go watch some race where everybody gets a blue ribbon and a medal and no one loses. That sounds like it's more you're speed.
You can try to disqualify their victory by calling it a baby World Champ, but when teams line up, their goal is to win. Period.
Beijing will be no different with the order of medals ( as far as gold and silver are concerned), and the margin of victory will be even greater

Ha ha ha!
I love your name.
I too will say, MORE GUILLOTINE PLEASE! Ha ha ha!
I don't like Usain Bolt.
He is a great sprinter but an irritating show off!
I have just watched this race with my brother (we couldn't watch the relays last evening because we went out, then, came to watch boxing with a group of friends).
I called the race for the US after watching the semi finals and it came to pass.
I was on my feet cheering for Bailey and I screamed!
Nothing makes my day more than watching a humbled Bolt!
How dare he call for Gay to be banned for life!
HOW DARE HE?
He should also call for the lifetime ban for Simpson, Fraser, Campebll,Blake and everyone else.
Anything short of that is styoopidity from bolt.
i AM SO HAPPY FOR THE US!
Go USa.
Oh, I am so happy for NIgeria women!
After the US bangled it up, my African sisters took it!
Huaaah!
More guillotine please!
Thisi s the end beginning of the end of the Jamaican train.
I am happy.
Well if you're happy for a team that has 3 drug cheats on it, including one who has tested positive twice and should be kicked out of the sport for good, winning gold and making a mockery of the IAAF and the sport in general, then congratulations to you.
I found the whole think quite depressing and Bailey's beheading jibe was just puerile. I hope the Jamaicans or anyone else whoops them in Beijing.

The US has its doping problems and Jamaica has its own doping problems.
I just hate the way Bolt takes sides just because it is the Americans.
Anyway, Jamaica is nowhere near where they were in the years 2008-2013.
That era is over.
They could win a race here or there but they are beatable and could still be beaten in Beijing this year.
I am happy.
decapitation is too strong. It was a throat slashing at best.
Honestly not that it makes a difference. Plus I think Bailey is clean so he gets some leeway.
No. Bailey should apologize to T&F fans for his terrible tattoos.
He should apologize for both but especially the throat slashing gesture. It's not appropriate considering all the violence going on in this day and age.
Yes -- there is no place for that.

I'd be willing to bet that the USA team is a hell of a lot cleaner than the Jamaican team.
And stop with the "he should apolgize" crap. Grow up. This is high level athletics, not your tee ball league where everyone gets a trophy, we are all friends, and everyone goes home a winner.

That's funny - "grow up". Do you mean, grow up and be like regular adults who make throat-slashing gestures at each other all the time?
I think it's perfectly reasonable to be a grown-up and still not be a big fan of throat-slashing gestures. I've seen tons of races that were really exciting, without the winner needing to rub it in afterwards. Yeah, Bolt himself is a show-off, but (in my opinion) in a fun way. It's not directed AT anybody. There is a reason he's immensely popular and by far the biggest star in track.
I thought Bailey's display was lame and classless.
The reason bolt is popular isn't his "classy celebrations." It's the number 9.58.
I get that you aren't competitive and are clueless what it means when I describe that this isn't an event where everyone gets a trophy but come on. Pull the stick out of your ass for one second and enjoy the fact that an athlete showed some tenacity, emotion and confidence. You are why track and field is dead.
The only good thing about Ryan Bailey is that his behavior so disgusted me that I can now whole-heartedly root against my own country in the 4x100. I already hated the drug cheaters but Bailey showed zero class. Almost as bad as the violent gesture is the stupid assumption that he will EVER do anything to challenge Bolt in a fair contest. That sort of @sshole behavior is why I never liked hanging out with other sprinters. Go to hell Ryan.
I am a former wannabe loser who never won anything of significance, because of this I root against my own country. I should get a solid kick in the ass and bitch slap back to reality.
Good for Bailey poking fun at Bolt's classic pose. This is the kind of thing that makes track more entertaining. It's not as if Bailey flipped Bolt off as he was walking by.
