What he did was wrong, twice, he's done his time, and whether he spoke to the issue tonight or not -- well, you've never been a super low income black (or white for that matter) kid who didn't have whatever he didnt have, including a good education (on many levels), so give it more time, ask him again -- you did ask the question in the best way you've ever reported your asking it - so keep trying - maybe not in the mixed zone, maybe walking around and ask him for a moment one on one, to ask him off camera, with specifically the reframe that you want to give him the chance to answer in a relaxed atmosphere, and that you'll also give him the chance to go On Camera.

He was tempted to answer, and -almost-- as close as you or he have gotten, so stay positive / flexible and keep trying.

Good answer from Gay, and I think this was a really good question. I admit I haven't always loved some of the LetsRun post-race questions (Rupp's allergy mask comes to mind), but this was a good question and from a vein that doesn't often get touched on, or answered, at press conferences.

I appreciated Tyson addressing it head on. Justin tried to get the mic and speak at first from Tyson but didn't answer. My biggest beef with Justin is he has stayed silent on the issue, I believe acting like if it's not discussed it didn't happen. I wish he had been given the mic.

It's a very clear why Justin Gatlin wanted the mic first and then decided to go silent. There is nothing that he can say outside of, " I received multiple injections of testosterone willingly in the lead up to Kansas relays into 2006, and as a result of my actions I hurt people in the process. In spite of my lying during and after the investigation , I am now comfortably wealthy since my return to sport. I don't care who I hurt , And I especially mean the sport of track and field". That would be an accurate answer to your question.

I'm not saying he's innocent, but I wager it's pretty easy. There are plenty of cases of contaminated substances that are marked as legit. Also some supplements are the opposite, full of fillers when it's supposed to be protein. Many companies are liars not held accountable, and you add sketchy people into the equation it gets more dicey.

And he's always been a decent sized guy, in person I've seen college 100s runners bigger than him muscle wise.

He probably is, as all of the other elite sprinters are on something. Because your body can't really handle running under 10 secs consistently year after year...you would see more injuries like lemetrie from France at the end of a season. But running is running. Cheating or not still have to have the talent and the events are still fun to watch. Think a lot of you take the "cheating" thing a little too personal

They've been cheating since before it was cheating

Tell that to the 10.x guy who decided not to cheat and never made it. Or how about every kid out there who wants to be great but now knows you have to juice up to make it. These guys have gotten rich and famous by cheating. They're role models and they've taken legitimate opportunities away from others. They deserve every bit of criticism.
