Just came across an article from Kenya that casually mentions Asbel Kiprop is out of the 2015 IAAF World Relays:
Does this mean double gold for TEAM USA?
Our 800 preview is up here:
DMR coming in a day or two.

Wow, can't believe I knew something about track before the brojos.
If you want more info, he "slightly" pulled his hamstring and announced he wasn't likely to come last Friday:

Good job on the preview! Enjoyed it.
I'm never much at predicting. It should be exciting. I'd still have to favor Kenya's depth, and it still being early seasons makes a big ? mark vis a vis the fitness level of the USA squad.
What if team Poland shocked the world?
Hoping you have a preview for the women's 4x800 as well.
We live in a time when it seems most men now enjoy women's racing as much as men's...
Enjoy The Sport! This weekend should be fun!
Andrews 12.57 last 100m
Seriously ? You're actually treating this as a real event ?
Australia will be tough to beat in the DMR as Jordy/Nova peak for Penn Relays, and we don't have a great kicker to close out our DMR IMO.

Come on dude, help us out and post stuff like that on the messageboards. Before twitter and facebook, our visitors weren't lazy. They'd find something like that and take great pride about posting in on the mboard.
;)

You ask for it. You get it. Our women's 4 x 80 preview.
http://www.letsrun.com/news/2015/04/2015-iaaf-world-relays-womens-4x800-the-u-s-has-a-great-chance-to-defend-its-crown/Our women's DMR preview is now up as well. Once again we are letting you the LRC messageboard poster see it first:
It will be up on the HP later tonight or tmw.
Men's DMR preview is up as well. Now it's time for us to get to the Bahamas:http://www.letsrun.com/news/2015/04/2015-iaaf-world-relays-mens-dmr-with-no-asbel-kiprop-the-u-s-has-a-shot-in-a-wide-open-race/If you read the DMR story last night or early this morning. We asked about where Aussie 800/1500 champ Jeff Riseley was.He saw our post and wrote in with the following:

Love your work and regular visitor to catch up on all my running news!
I really like the concept of World Relays and am really disappointed not to be running but the proximity of Australia to the rest of the World makes it very tough to try and compete in every event across the calendar year. It takes well over 30hours to fly to the Bahamas and having already been selected for Beijing World Championships, May is a very important training month in my preparation. You only need to look at the amount of athletes training in flagstaff and other locations right now to see that. I will base myself in Europe from early June for three months and don't have the resources to replicate my home training environment (coach, medical team and training partners) to stretch for that month of May and to be overseas for so long can be very tough and draining.
So a 60hour + round trip in the space of 6days and timezone changes just isn't ideal, nor great on the body. I've been to Penn relays a few times and it's one of my favourites race experiences so i know how tough it is. In the toughest sport in the world you need to train hard, plan well and have some luck to do well so hopefully I can do that in Beijing which unfortunately means missing Bahamas.
Its always fun pitting the best distance runners from each country together to see who comes out on top. If they bring it to Asia I'll be the first one putting my hand up! I really hope the Aussie boys can get it done!
Cheers
Jeff
some random chatter by the USA team in Bahamas points to the 4x8 really going for WR bonus money
