I've been wearing a newer model and I started to get tears in the fabric after only about three weeks of running. I use them for both road and trail running (some rocks, roots, mud, etc.). I've used DS Trainers for years and haven't had them ever wear out so fast, until I got into the newer model. Anyone else experience this?

ive had 2 pairs of the ds trainer 18 (blue / orange) and didn't bother with the 19 because i didn't like the dual fabric on the forefoot. yep, they do look a bit less hardwearing
I've been running in a pair of DS Trainer 19's since December 2014. I've been rotating them with a pair of more forefoot encouraging Mizunos but I'd still say I have put probably 400-500 miles on them and they are still going strong. That's mostly been on road and limestone trail. Sorry to hear about your pair, I'm a huge fan of the DS trainers.
